Today was a good day. Michael has a little bit of a cold and I think he is trying to give it to me, but other than that all is well.
The best part of today was I didn't go anywhere. Didn't have to drive, didn't even have to leave the house. Those days are few and far between.
My wife went out shopping with her sister which gave her a little break home. Tricia, my wife, is an amazing woman. You would never know it just by looking at her but she is legally blind. She was something like the 4th person in Washington State diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Stargardts. I never know if I spell that right so please forgive me if it's not. The disorder attacks the center part of the eye and moves outward. She has okay vision to the side, not great, but everything is sort of blobs in the middle.
I joke sometimes that it is one of the reasons she married me. Since everything looks like blobs anyways, she couldn't tell the difference.
I can't seem to keep Michael dressed lately so if anyone has suggestions on that let me know. It has been getting a little warmer, so as soon as he is in the house he strips off his shirt and pants. Part of me is jealous, but I would want to mentally scar anyone.
Speaking of Michael I tried to get him to put on his shoes the other day to play out side. He asked me "Why?" and I told him he wasn't going outside in his bare feet. He told me that he had "boy feet not bear feet" and I was a silly daddy.
If you haven't figured it out by now, I love that kid.

I have a little blind girl I teach at the studio. She was born blind and her movements fascinate me. They are uniquely her own.
