I just finished reading Max Brook's new book World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War. Essentially, the story here is that the war against a zombie apocalypse has concluded, with over 75% of the world's population lost. This book is story of the author traveling around the world and interviewing the survivors to get their accounts of what occured before, during and after the outbreak. Max Brooks has some really great humor and deep insights into society, politics and culture and he uses them to great effect when recounting the various tales of the survivors and their war against the Zs. I recommend it.
Also, it has already been optioned by Paramount Pictures to become a feature film with Brad Pitt's studio Plan B producing it. I think it has some promise.
