rock climbing at rattlesnake point was pretty incredible yesterday. i was a bit timid to begin, hopping from flat boulder to flat boulder. but before long all three of us were climbing down crevasses and scaling the 50-foot cliffs and rock piles. great fun! if only there weren't so many smashed beer bottles. damned yokel kids.
then it was off for some more poi practise and the building of some stilts. yeah, my life is playing out like a circus lately. i tried walking on the stilts and almost killed myself. there's a photo of me wrapped around a lamppost about 6 feet up, clinging for dear life. that'll be one to show the grandkids.
i'm heading out to fukhouse at system soundbar tonight. its the first good/big/local techno party in toronto in awhile, reviving the large fukhouse parties that used to be held at industry. i can't wait! i guess most members here are more into indie/punk/goth, but i like a bit of everything. if anyone from the GTA wants to hang and burn up the dance floor, email me & come along.

mostly, i like to dance. :-)
stilts are fun. i learned stilt-walking in a circus sideshow 101 class i took at San Francisco School of Circus Arts. Learned all sorts of other fun stuff, too: glass eating, getting out of a straight jacket, fire eating, fire breathing, juggling.
how long have you been doing poi? i just made myself a pair of short staffs to start practicing double staff.
anyway, you were talking in my journal about london. i bump over to say hi.
i've seen a hella lot of live music in my life, but i've never been to a rave. i've been to late clubs and i can shake an ass, but i've never seen the real deal. there was a time in my life where i would've gone, but i never got invited. now?
dunno.
where is this place? i'm in toronto a lot more lately and i'm trying to get a good geography of the city.
