so here's the deal. i'm a director (a pretty damn good one actually) and i'm starting work on a fantastic play this fall. below is a section from the press release. i'm uber excited and if ANYONE is in the NYC area and would like to audition or design, just send me an email.

The play follows eight charismatic women through one party in Fefus New England home. It deals with womens relationship to men and their relationship to eachother. Most importantly the play examines a womans relationship to her own strength and intelligence.

The play is very technical in nature and we will be using a great deal of language based rehearsal techniques, as well as physical movement exercises to explore characters and relationships onstage.

As far as the rehearsal schedule goes, we will be working three to four times a week throughout October. However in November the schedule will become quite intense. Because of the performance dates (December 1rst through December 12th) I can only allow a three day break in the schedule for Thankgiving.

I just want to let everyone know the level of commitment involved before I see people for the roles. It is a fantastic play but requires a heavy schedule to pull it off well.

The auditions will be held in Brooklyn on October 2nd between 1pm and 9pm. call backs will be october 3rd from 1pm to 4pm.
