I went out for coffee yesterday at work and came back to find the road shut-down and HAZMAT/fire crews running into Alewife.
On my drive down to NY yesterday I stopped on 84 in CT to pee-- I had to find a CD case in the back of my car because anymore Samhain would drive me nuts. While I was looking these assholes parked next to me, took one look at me, one look at my license plate and then said as LOUDLY as possible "Good day for a Red Sox/Yankees game... Good day to watch them kick ass... Good day to see my girl's hair blowing in the wind" Did he think he was deep?
Did he think just because I have a NY license plate I care?
NY is sunny and 75, MA is cold and rainy at 56. What a difference 175 miles makes.

Actually, MA is really sunny about 71 right now. No joke.

And yeah, it is the GBH series. I adore it. I have been going through the series one by one. Kenneth Jackson, who was one of my professors in college (and a preeminent NYC history scholar) is in it a lot and we watched bits and pieces in his classes. I really did basically major in NYC history, so it's the perfect way to stimulate all my incredibly geeky urges.
