Please play video while reading this blog. It doesn't really correlate, but I just like the song...
So, I just got home from work a little while ago. It was a pretty good day. We were a little busy early in the shift, but later on it slowed down. It was nice that it slowed down because I rode my motorcycle in today with the intentions of washing it.
We don't have many fringe benefits, but being able to wash out cars, trucks, etc, is one of them. So I got my bike all pretty. Tomorrow, all I have to worry about doing is giving it a nice touch of chrome polish. Then the black will be midnight and the chrome will be an absolute contrast. I'm excited... it's not difficult to make me happy!
So I'm on my way home and some guy pulls out of a side road and starts to follow me. I, immediately, got a creepy feeling, so I started taking needless turns onto random streets... this guy is still following me! Well I ended up pulling a U-turn in the middle of the street and took off. I saw, in my mirrors, that he started to turn around, but he was driving a rather large pickup... I have no clue who this person is or why he was following me. Furthermore, I don't even know if this freak is a "he," I'm purely speculating,.. Well, I am just glad that I recognized it and didn't get home so he or she knows where I live. The only thing that I wish is that I got the license plate number.
Well, anyway, I am now home and comfily in bed, nekkid, as always.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, how could I possibly forget!?!?
Well, I am looking into doing this "Iron and Steel NYC- Ft Benning" motorcycle ride. It's 1000mi down and 1000mi back. The bigger purpose is to escort a rather large cross made of metal from the WTC North Tower, which will be placed at the National Infantry Museum. So, I looked into it at work, I made a little poster with the dates, of shifts, that I need covered and I am humbly asking my coworkers to donate to sponsor me and my ride, to help cover some of my costs. Well, apparently my boss, who has a stick jammed so far up has ass that he has a friggin leaf popping out of his nose, decided that it was inappropriate of me to "solicit" in a place of work. So, I subsequently received minor disciplinary action for not relinquishing control of my life to my boss before doing anything or making any decisions. Fuck him! Anywho, now that I have vented that...
I really want to do this ride, but I'm afraid that I won't get the time off or have the funds to do it. If I don't get to ride, I won't be 100% heartbroken, just like 80%. There's always next year, which is the same concept, except it's from NYC-Wash DC.
In other "Biker News," this coming Sunday is a 9/11 memorial ride in CT. I'm looking forward to it, I'll be riding with a bunch of cops, it should be a killer time... pun intended.
In other news:
I am currently seeking applicants for the position of "Friend with benefits." The position is temp to semi-perm. Applicants MUST be female. This is a volunteer position however applicants are encouraged to "keep the change." The screening process, as always, will be a rigorous one. Applicants must not be married. We stress this point due to the fact that one of the most recent finalists had to be disqualified due to her marital status and another candidates failed to mention that she was in a long term relationship and was fixin' to get hitched. Furthermore, applicants must have a recent passing test score, we all know which standardized tests I'm talking about. This is the only other requirement that I am unwavering on. There is slight leniency in the smoke free policy.
Applicants should fully understand the position being applied for:
Firstly, the word "friends" in the title is not a negotiable one. I am not easily stimulated, so bring your "A-game."
Secondly, this is not a permanent, full time position. The hours may vary, but will most likely be one 8 or 12 hour shift weekly. An increase or decrease in hours may occur at a moment's notice due to scheduling conflicts with work, family, and/or previously scheduled engagements.
Thirdly, let it be stated that "many will apply, one will be chosen." Yes, that's right, one. I will not have multiple workers coming to work at the same time. If that was to occur, there may be an increased lack of focus on achieving the company's goals.
Fourthly, applicants must have a "can-do" attitude and be extremely motivated. I am not an easy man to please, and I am eager to please.
For all other questions, comments, applications, or referrals please contact me by sending me a message. The above list of requirements and understandings are partial lists and are subject to change at any time with little or no advanced notice. All applications will be reviewed upon receipt. If a response is not given within a one week time frame, please understand that due to the anticipated volume, those who do not meet expected qualifications will not be contacted. For an in-depth explanation of your application's denial, please call the corporate office 24/7 at (212) 479-7990.
Thank you, I hope that you are all well and leading balanced lives.
