When I took my car in for service yesterday, after their diagnosis of everything that needed to be replaced, it came out to over 5k, which is almost how much left I had to pay for it. There was no point in doing it. :(
So the people who were looking after me, a really sweet kid who appreciated my dark sense of humor and this woman who reminded me of my late mother figure, convinced me to trade-in and lease a new car. The trade-in value was almost covered all of what was left on my previous car, and the rest would be transferred over to the total I'll be paying for the next 3 years with the new car. In the end, it was the easier choice.
What sucks is that I had to say goodbye to my previous car last night, and I'm pretty upset about it. You get attached to certain things in life, and a car, for me, is definitely one of those things.
And I know what's happening is a good thing, but I just feel overwhelmed with mixed emotions that I'll have to work through. It just sucks that I won't be seeing it anymore.
I'm extremely grateful to the universe for this gift, it's just going to take a while to deal with this.
Anyone else deal with this when they had to say goodbye to their previous vehicle, or am I just crazy?
