My boss calls me into her office to see if there’s anything else to add to the email that she’s sending to a higher up in regards to vendors not sending us the merchandise without the brand tickets attached.
This, naturally, is an issue due to the fact that brand named merchandise must be ticketed with their respective brand ticket, or the company as a whole could be sued. That and it takes away from our production time to fix their mistake.
“Do you think I made it clear that vendors should be held accountable when they send us merchandise not finished?” she asks whilst nodding towards the email displayed on the monitor.
I read it.
“Well, there is actually one more thing you could add to really seal the deal,” I respond.
“Tell me,” she says as she readies her fingers above the keyboard, eager to type.
“That they’re also responsible for assassinating Abraham Lincoln.”
A moment of silence passes between us.
“Get out.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
