After your breakdown, and some more comforting, you used my phone to call your friend to let him know that you were going to pick him up in around 30-45 minutes. You put him on speaker so I could finally meet this person I had heard about a few times. After introducing us, I say “it’s nice to finally meet. I’ve heard a lot about you.” His reply caught me off guard:
“I’ve heard A LOT about YOU!!!!!!”
I look at you and ask “do you...do you talk about me?”
With a look of embarrassment, you answer with a somewhat timid “I might talk about you a lot...”
After the call ended, I helped you out of my car since you were extremely tipsy, and wrapped you in my jacket since it was cold outside. I told you to keep the jacket, and you were massively, enthusiastically overjoyed.
You wanted to use the restroom before we left, so I helped you to the entrance. We made a funny sight to the customers, you hanging off me laughing, while I didn’t care what anyone thought. “This is Jaclyn” you shouted, “and she’s the most amazing friend ever!!!!” A man heard you, made some comment, and walked off into the parking lot.
Once inside, we decided to race to the restroom. You were almost there before I cut you off, picked you up by your waist, lifted you into the air, and spun you around like a dancer would their partner. I put you down, and we finished the race. It was a tie.
Afterwards, we retreated back to your car so we could sober up more. We had a conversation that slips my mind, but there was laughing and smiling. I do remember asking what the lead female’s favorite flower from my screenplay should be since she was inspired by you. “I don’t know,” you replied.
“What is your favorite flower?” I ask.
“Anything lavender,” you say with a smile.
“How about lavender roses?” I suggest.
That’s when you grabbed me by my shirt, shoved me hard up against the inside of the passenger door, and got an inch from my face. I thought “this is where she locks my lips with hers,” following it with “this is where I break your heart.” Luckily, all you did was shout directly into my face, “I love roses!!!”
Once you were sober enough to drive, you left to go pick up your friend from his place of employment, and deliver him safely to his house before you retreated to yours for the night.
