Reading "Spies of the Balkans" by Alan Furst, one of my favorite novelists. He can really make you feel like you are in the locations he writes about: the rainy streets of Paris, Warsaw, Prague, Salonika. He writes great sex scenes as well, not explicit but very erotic. I love good writing.

I bought nothing yesterday during "Black Friday." I suppose I could feel virtuous about my budgetary restraint, but then again I'm not doing anything to support the economy and improve the nation's job outlook. Sometimes life and economics can be complicated. I guess I'll go and eat another piece of pumpkin pie, which I can afford to do since I went jogging this morning.
