I’ve got to be honest, I really WANTED to like this movie, I really hoped it wasn’t as bad as everyone said it was but it was just as bad as everyone said it was. Although it had some great moments, it felt exactly as it seemed. Disney had recently purchased the Fox Entertainment and Film company along with the rights to all of these fine characters. Recently having announced that the entire X-Men universe was again getting rebooted, this film felt as though the cast and crew simply said “screw it, just get this movie over with.” It’s a shame since the soft reboot had introduced so many great actors and reimagined their characters in a great way, but...not this time. They left these characters to die (not literally, at least not everyone) slowly and uneventfully. A real shame for such a fantastic source material they could’ve molded into a great finale, instead we’re left hoping that the NEXT X-Men franchise is again better than the last.
