So yes, Pittsburgh is a stupid place.
The south side is loud and it smells.
Most of it's residents are wing nuts.
They also smell.
My favorite thing to do is go to the Giant Eagle on game days and talk loudly about how much I hate the Steelers.
I'm the only one that seems to find the humor in it, though. That's common.
I can't complain, though. I'm head over heels in love.
The six month break we took, in retrospect, was probably what saved our relationship.
Everyday I love him more, and when he goes to work, I miss him until he gets home.
The sex is better than it's ever been in the entire span of the almost 3 years that we've been having it with each other.
I wanted to be free.
Now all I can think about is how I can't wait to settle down with him in a house with a yard and a picket fence and patio that we drink our tea and smoke our cigarettes on in the mornings and evenings. How I can't wait to spend every Sunday morning 'til the mid afternoon sharing a hammock in the shade of the palm trees we'll most likely have. Outside showers and naked dinner dates in our dining room. Painting walls together and raising babies.
I promised him I'd stay here til his lease ends in June, so I got a job at an italian ice shop down the street.
This summer we'll both spend time in our hometowns ( me in Florida and him in New York), and then next fall we'll be moving out to Northern California so my best friend and I can finally start school together. A few years after that, we'll probably head down to Florida to settle for the next long while.
As much as I enjoyed and depended on the spontaneity of my life, I'm really starting to look forward to the peace and security of a house and a mortgage and a family of my own.
I'm guessing by 2012.
That's weird for me to say.
If someone asked me three months ago what my plans for the year 2012 would be, my automatic and honest response would have probably been, "Whatchu talkin' bout? I could be dead by then. I don't even know what I'm doing right this second."
And for the hell of it:
This is like 2 1/2 years old but it captures us pretty well
Me!
