I'm impressed by how creative actors are. Because, all they have to start with are words printed on a piece of paper. The script doesn't tell the actor how to say those words. There are so many ways to say the same words. They really bring the words to life by saying them a certain way and by moving their body a certain way. They do it so well, that we believe that they are just thinking up what they're saying spontaneously, like in normal everyday conversation. We forget that they're reciting memorized lines that someone else wrote for them. And they do it in front of a camera and a bunch of people they don't even know. And, I'll bet that the really talented actors need very little, if any, help from the director. I think it's impressive.
