Hello hell kats and kitties,
Ok, so its been a while since I last updated and in that time much has happened in the world. The news is covering the crisis in New Orleans like a pack of hungry screeching vultures. Its a terrible terrible thing that's happened to them and my heart really does go out to all involved. I just wish common sense and empathy would prevail.
On the home front there has been much talk about John brogden and his suicide attempt. Yes he said some stupid things and yes in his position he should have known better. But what pressure must he had been under to feel that suicide was his only way out. The lesson to be learnt here kiddies must be think before you do anything!.
Schapelle Corby has been replaced by Model blah blah blah. That's what I call her Model blah blah blah. Cause the only thing that's seems to be of importance to the media is that she is a Model. To think this is probably the best exposure shes ever going to get in the media and shes constantly covering her face up. Hasn't she ever heard of the adage Even bad publicity is good publicity .
The Parra Eels are on top. Not that I really really care. But somewhere deep inside in the dark recesses of my mind there is a little 7 year old footy fan wearing her yellow and blues. Ahhh the 80s they were the days. Yes, I suppose its now time to admit that I was born in Parramatta. I may have been born there but I was never going to bow down to the mullet & flano ethics of the deep dark west. I started clawing my way out of there the moment a was ripped from the womb.
Eeek so as you can probably tell for the past week Ive been watching the news. Something I never do. I think its about time I stopped. Its all bad. Im sure it gives you cancer and turns you into an old cranky fuddy duddy. If I dont stop now Ill be tuning into A Current Affair before you can say bloody dole bludgers. Eeek that's it no more bad news. I wish The Good News Week program would come back on. Hehehehehe it always cracked me up. For now Ill stick to watching The Glass House to get my good news fix with Will, Corinne and Dave. They ROCK my Wednesday nights!!!!!
Hmm but apart from being bombarded by propaganda on the news. I had a goodish week.
Monday I worked as per usual.
Tuesday began with a giggle at the crack of dawn. Ha ha, cause stupid me somehow managed to set the clock BACK 2 hours while trying to set the alarm. So instead of waking up at 7am as asked. I got the FLB up at 5 am. Hehe you should have seen his shock when he realised what I had done. I mean this is a man who is rearly up before 11:30 in the morning. I am soooooooooooooooo evil. Apparently he spent the whole day telling everyone exactly how evil I am. Not that they dont all already know. Hehe I found it quiet funny. Shhh but dont tell anybody.
Id made plans with myself to go down to the botanic garden for a drawing session. But before I could go I had to do a little sprucing of my pucci palace. This took longer than first anticipated due to ongoing spontaneous outbursts of solid gold dancing. Its my speciality you see. In the end after much bum wiggling and atrocious singing pucci looked all shinny and new once again. I did have but one other minor hiccup during my cleaning/solid gold dancing spree. It consisted of myself and a run in with my doona/cushion. Now this cushion was a fantastic buy as it turns into a doona. Thanks to a nifty little zip and a few simple origami fold.
Usually Im a master at turning the doona into a cushion deal. But today the fabric kept on getting stuck in the zip. So, as there was no one else at home. I had it out with the doonacush. There where fists flying all over the place, commando rolls, kicks, knees and the obligatory screaming and name calling. Finally after rolling around on the floor for a good 10 minutes of solid biffing. The doona gave it up and the zipper magically worked with not one little snag.
Satisfied with my efforts. I decided now was the time to walk on down to the gardens. I was half way there when I heard the unmistakable jeering of 2 Kookaburras up in a massive grey gum. Instinctively I looked down at my watch. It was just before 12 noon. Dam shit. Shit shit dam I thought. Fuck its gonna rain. I quickened my pace so as to miss it but not 2 minutes later the droplets started hitting me in the head as the rain began to fall. Determined to make it to my destination I kept on trudging up the hill. Past the gallery, down the hill and threw the marshy creek (which was incredibly dark and moody for 12 in the avo). Up past the old historic Cemetery in all its tacky plastic flowered glory. And finally down threw the gates and into the lush green of the gardens. I walked around in that damn rain listen to the frogs singing with glee for an hour until I found the only dry place in the garden......The Hot House. Here they kept the cactus and succulents. Exhausted and wet I plonked myself on a rock and looked at all the chubby little spiky plants with great disdain and muttered to them all I walk ALL the way here to the Botanic Gardens. Where there are thousands of beautiful exotic species of plant life. And the LUDICROUS thing is the only plants I have to draw today are the same DAMN plants I have been collecting MYSELF in MY WARM, and COSY house a good 45 minute walk away. BUGGER ME! Fuck it! Im going home!. So, up I got. Not satisfied in the least and waddled my way home in the rain. Blah what a day. Wet and weary.
Wednesday work again.
Thursday I had the day off. Did nothing during the day except plan things for my business. Thursday night I managed to get out of the house as Id read in the paper that Brisbane band Elephant Mojo was playing a free gig. So I thought what the hey Ill go and see what they sound like. I get down to the pub and the guy at the bar says nope sorry their playing on the 21st not the 1st. The paper must have left out the 2 in the date. After drowning my disappointment in a beer we went home. Where I then ate some vegan cookies I made and fell asleep on the floor. Boo hoo.
But one good thing is it rained all weekend and all the plants are getting a much needed soaking.
Hopefully next week will be more successful. I think Ill start planning now and get all bases covered.
Also for the past 2 weeks Ive been eating vegan and I feel so much healthier for it. Ive been veg for about 10 years but Ive never gone without dairy until now and boy does it make a difference. So Good ice cream ROCKS!!!!!!!! But on the other hand So Good yogurt does NOT rock . I guess you cant win em all. William soy chocolate also ROCKS and so does Sanatarium Caramel and chocolate soy milk . Ok that's my shameless plugging done.
Have a good one guys.
catch ya.
Luv jazz.
MWAH!
Ps, For all those people who live in Brisvagas. Can you give me a couple of reasons why its a fab place to be. And also a few of the pitfalls. That would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Pps, Go visit Chris and hellfaerie. I think they are great. MWAH!
I think your all great but my fingers are sore from typing and you know I love you anyway.
Ppps, A good friend of mine Rob just droped over. He is such a sweet sweet boy and a fantastic artist. He lives on the goldie so I dont get to see him very often. I will miss him till we get to hang out again. I miss soooo many people. But Im sure Ill be on a high for a while after catching up.
