Hmm, this is my first real journal entry.
Its sunday already and this week has gone so quickly and nothing much has happened (well nothing all that interesting anyway). Apart from joining SG offcourse.
Today it is unseasonably warm for this early in spring and the mountains surrounding my house absorb my attention easily with their enormity. While I sit on my balcony trying hard to do nothing at all. Usually my sundays are spent engrossed in the paper, watching docos on the box and cleaning the house. But today its all a bore. There are no interesting docos on tv, about eccentric artists or lands far away and the paper is all to fixated on the up and coming Australian elections - which I am keen on reading but there is only so much one can stomach on the subject of politics in one day. So instead I'm content to sit on my veranda preening the garden and laying in the afternoon sun daydreaming as I listen to some fav tunes. Very nice indeed. A perfect opportunity to enjoy a nice cold beer if there ever was one.
The mountains in the distance seem to hug the valley on all sides and the sea breeze from the coast takes the edge off the brilliant Aussie sun. At the moment I'm living in a small town - it shits me sometimes because its so small and a little closed minded, but its days like these when I realise why I'm still here and not in my home town of Sydney. Its just so damd beautiful ! I have access to some of the best Australia has to offer, masive old growth rainforests with giant waterfalls and pristeen creeks and lakes, great expances of relatively empty beaches, rolling green hills for as far as the eye can see,
quant and friendly country towns and an ever expanding CBD that likes to think its cosmopolitan
Its not all roses though, most of the people are unashamably red neck and don't take to kindly to people very different from themselves. And it lacks in entertainment facilities, you really do have to make your own fun in this place.
But today I'm happy and don't feel the want to bitch. Today I am in love, in love with life and all that it pesents to me. So I can smile and really mean it.
Tonight I'm looking forward to watching my fav flick on the tev, Amalie. It never fails to warm my heart. God, you really have caught me on a good day! It helps that Amalie ( Audrey Tautuo) is just sooo hot! I tells ya she can park her shoes under my bed anyday.
Thats about it for the moment, sorry to love you and leave you. A bientot, mwah!
ps. hope you like my pics.
