That Missy sure knows how to haggle a fella back onto SG! I mean, realistically, who can say no to a site full of inked and pierced naked ladies? Not this guy.
Anyway, coming at ya hot with some righteous new art for the design portfolio;
Needless to say, heaviness is about all that's been coming through my speakers lately; a fitting start to spring, especially with new Dahlia, Faceless and Job on the horizon!
Thrash talk aside, I have, in the past few weeks, decided on what I'm going to be doing for the next few years.
Making use of the WWOOF organization, I am going to travel the world getting my hands dirty in everything from organic farming techniques, permaculture and biodynamic engineering to worm cultivation and cheese-making. Basically, I contact a family farm in, say, New Zealand, and set a period during which I will work at their facility in exchange for for food and board. I continue this, setting up a string of various sustainable-living establishments that will take me from country to country, only having to pay, essentially, for transportation. Pretty cool shit right?
Now, here's the kicker:
WWOOF has cells in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal- places with rich histories in tribal tattooing customs. Coordinating hands-on work in permaculture with (at minimum, exposure to, if not hands on interaction) the real-fucking-deal tattooing practices of centuries-long tribal communities is just about the coolest thing imaginable.
Really.
Think of one thing for me to do that could top this.
See? You can't!
It's going to take a good bit of monetary planning, diligent research and coordination, but I can think of nothing that would be more worthwhile. Besides, if it's experiences that forge interesting people, I'd imagine I'll come back to the states (if I do!) with quite a few good tales to tell. Being quite the storyteller already, this is just something I can't pass up.
