With a slow computer and a meandering mind, we'll see how far a-blogging we will go.
I tried one of those all-nighter horror film fests last night. The "Dusk to Dawn Horrorthon" at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica. Of course, it was a classic film geek crowd, skewing younger than I expected, but you can't hate on bridging the generational gap. Night opened with "Night of the Living Dead," and this was the first time I'd ever seen it on the big screen. Really holds up well, surprisingly enough. Much better than watching it on DVD (then again, isn't that the case with just about all films?). Stuck around and watched "The Re-Animator" (peace to Flux), "The House by the Cemetery," a bunch of old horror trailers in between, and the beginning of "Pumpkinhead." But I just didn't have it in me -- gave up around 3:30am, at the beginning of "Pumpkinhead," and went home.
Today, mostly because of the long night, I've just been lounging and doing a bit of work around the house. I haven't even bothered to change out of my sleep clothes. At this point, why bother?
Peace to RoxyMonoxide for Friday's Halloween party. Nice to see some familiar faces, and hellagood eats. Muy !
