Mr. Ryan Bennett 1970-2006
The MMA community lost a great ambassador of the sport today. And a lot of other people lost a very close friend and loved one.
I only talked with Ryan a few times in passing, but he was always friendly, approachable, and encouraging in my foray into the MMA world. I don't think a picture exists where he's not smiling -- even here. . .
. . . you can't help but see the clown in him creep through.
He put my feet to the fire one time on his live radio show when he called and asked for tickets for Trigg. I had a blast sparring comebacks with them that day. That memory means so much more now.
Ryan loved the industry he worked in, and more than anybody I've encountered in it, he was optimistic for it. His standards of professionalism and enthusiasm for the sport of MMA should be a benchmark by which we always measure ourselves. In that respect, he will always live on.
Thank you, Mr. Bennett. Peace and blessings to all the lives you affected.
Big shout outs to my man Damon_Shadows for a loss like this. I know it's not easy, but keep your head up.

Thank you for the comments you left, I appreciate it and it does make me feel a bit better about it. It's just the doing new pieces that my not work - if i don't get everything just so - is scary as fuck. and the crowd are a bunch of retired health service workers, so i don't think the wrestling chant would really go down well! Thanks for the suggestion though, it gave a me really good laugh to imagine 50 over 60's chanting 'you fucked up' at me!!!
Stay strong bro.
I managed to make it through hours of shopping today
Hopefully I can make it through hours of fun tomorow too
