the weather in portland today was absolutely stunning! i'll chalk an early spring surprise, don't expect it to last too long. as any oregonian though, the sun peaked out and i threw on a little halter top and went into town to enjoy the late afternoon weather. it's always refreshing to go downtown, especially on days like today, it really makes you feel alive when it's so nice out and the breeze is not so cold you have to bundle up in three jackets. i did a little browsing in some stores, got some soup for late lunch, sat on a bench and ate it. while trying to walk back to my car i got a, 'hi....i love you' from some kid who was skating with his friends. i laughed and shook my head, he said 'what? i do!'
my red hair is now pink! probably only for a short while, but just in time for the lovely spring weather.
today was both relaxing and productive, the best kind. i think i may be going to the quasi/thermals show on friday alone now had asked a friend but doesn't look like she'll be able to go. so i've an extra ticket....hmm, you wanna come with? shit, piss, fuck...i wish i had more friends.
anyway, i'm off to snack on crumpets and watch some bad early evening television.
17 days until he arrives!

I used to be obsessed with them. I won tickets from Melody Maker when I was like 17 to their Rollercoaster tour (with Dinosaur Jr, Blur and My Bloody Valentine). However, like a tit, I asked for the Whitley Bay date which I thought was in south Wales (near me) and not Up North (definitely not near me) so I never went
Years later, when I bumped into Bobby Gillespie (their drummer, now singer with the mighty Primal Scream), I was so impressed that he was still hanging out with Douglas Hart, the bassist.
Yes, I'm drunk and name dropping that Ive met the JAMC's classic line-up rhythm section. I need to get a life.
Beat one into me when I'm there. ok?
