Earlier, I got an email from my university's Multicultural Students Association. In conjunction with the Women's Center, they're hosting a day of seminars and workshops pertianing to all manner of women's issues. I'm definitely going. I just wish dweezie could come with me. Even though she can't be there, I'm sure it will be an awesome day.
Last night, I somehow missed an email from one of the people my feature story class. (Incidentally, she's my friend who coined the term "bitchblivious.") She was personally sending me a critique of my personal narrative since she'll miss Thursday's class. Something about a business trip. Anyway, she pointed out a glaringly obvious angle I failed to see. Now that I see it, I can't believe I missed it! What? Well, the story is about my road trip to Charlotte to see Neil Gaiman speak and how that has affected my plans for life after college. She suggested that I combine the "path of the road trip" bit with the "life path" bit. Why didn't I think of that? See, this is why peer editing is good.
I had a point in mentioning all of that, but it's long gone. I'm going to go work on that story now so I can upload the new version. Hope everyone is having a good night.

it's cool to have good friends to give you constructive criticism when you need it. wish i could read some of your work.

Aww, don't feel bad about missing that connection. You just think with such originality that the whole trip path = life path thing might've just been too clich for you to come up with right away.
