*EDIT* I am going to go on a limb here, and say if there was a Jesus, he does not give a good god fuck about your like or comment on Facebook. I don't know why this annoys me, it just does.
Think what you want about much of America's policy.
think what you want about other nation's relations with us.
About this time 12 years ago, I was in technical school in Arizona.
I saw the second tower get hit.
I saw them fall.
Everyone loves a good conspiracy. And you can frack off thinking some evil government plot devised it.
Here's the deal. We aren't perfect. no country ever has been. We all as humans have done some vile shit.
What happened, was never deserved what was wrought upon the thousands lost, and the millions affected.
Even now with Syria, do we let our political beliefs get in the way of being human, most with a faith that supports defending the weak, keep us from helping to stop a lunatic with chem weapons? Which comes first, your morals or the way you lean politically?
I've had too many friends, and myself, go through too much bullshit inside this country, and outside it. I have captured and helped kill people who were hurting others, that is the bottom line, and worked with those who have sacrificed more than I ever could.
I don't agree with politicians a lot. I don't believe America is the greatest country in the world. But I believe it used to be, and can be again. And I do believe in the ideals it should stand for. Not the politics, the ideals.
So yes, seeing Britain play our anthem at Buckingham Palace. Seeing the video of just other countries affected, tears me up.
*steps off soapbox now*
