I have permanent spinal cord damage due to a neck injury in 2012. Most people in my situation work part-time or give up working altogether, I have continued to work full-time for 9 years but the time has come where I can't manage it any more and my doctors have persuaded me to switch to part-time. Working 3 days a week may sound like living the dream but that's before you realise that working 60% of the time pays 60% of the salary, I've been blessed to have been able to do a lot of travelling in my past but I'm not sure how much will be left in the future.
