My wife and I are heading down to the D for the next couple of days. (No, that's not a sex joke). One of our favorite bands, H.I.M., is on their farewell North American tour, and playing at the Fillmore in Detroit Saturday
Since we live about 140 miles North, it's kind of a big deal when we head down there, and it is a great excuse for a weekend away. I grew up a city kid (Denver) but my wife is all small town, so I like to spoil her a bit when we get to go somewhere. The nice thing is, there is a lot to see in walking distance from the hotel.
I was going to get a table at Michael Simon's Roast restaurant, but didn't want to spend a car payment on dinner. I'm not averse to spending on good food, but damn, dropping 2 or 3 bills on one meal for 2 is a bit much.
Anyway, I'll probably update Sunday, with pics, so everyone have a great weekend.
