Taking a deep breath ... So, I'm spending part of my weekend having intense lasers shot into my eyes so that I can abandon glasses and contact lenses -- which have been regular parts of my life since the sixth grade -- and actually see the alarm clock (and the rest of life around me) in the morning. It's a little nerve wracking but I'm excited. It's something I've considered on and off for a few years but it's time to do it. Well, let me rephrase: I will be excited when it's over and I can see; the actual laser procedure well ... let me just say I will eagerly accept the valium when it's offered.
