Sleep is sporadic. I wait to hear from graduate schools, I read about bones, and now that Olympics are over my tv set is off.
I received a belated christmas gift from a friend: 3 notepaper binders, each with a picture of a different classic monster: Frankenstein, The Mummy, and The Phantom of the Opera. offbeat and rather cool. me like.
I've been away in Denver for a few days. Nice place! Sunny, and not nearly so cold as I was led to believe. Now I am off to check out a group called "Drinking Liberally", which I THINK is for liberal folks to get togther for a drink and a chat. I guess I will find out! Wish me luck. :-)
Great. At work someone turned off the power to the building and ALL the computers crashed. They came back, except for the device that does the backups, which is hosed. Ah well, it keeps life interesting.

I went for two weeks to work with the Greenbelt movement. I was based out of Lang gata and went into Caberya and the Nyeri District (spent 5 days in a farmer's house with his family) and the Masi Mara. Experts came in to lecture us everyday, including Dr. Mzlengo- who does research in Rift Valley- we checked out one of the Leekey dig sites there. We accidenttally drove into Tanzana on safari in the Mara. Lol.
