After about 12 years of living with her, she moved out. She didn't go far, and I see her frequently when I drop off my son. I'm not sad about it.

Back from travels to New Mexico and Seattle. I survived both pretty well, even the 20th year High School reunion. I'm a bit surprised I did.

Now hopefully I get to relax at home soon.

I can't believe it's Memorial Day weekend already. These past few months have been painful, so I guess it's okay if time flew during that time.

Seattle was fun, and I got to see many friends. I do miss Seattle, but I'm settling into life here now in Brooklyn.

The separation aspect is weird--we're getting along better as a roommates than we have otherwise in years. We started the mediation process and it looks to be worth it since we are both focused on what's best for our son. However, I...

Now it's already well into March, and I'm looking at where the time went. The meeting new people process is going well, the job situation is getting better (for me, not necessarily for others), and I'm healthier than I previously thought.

Now I get to look forward to going back to Seattle for a few days. I also get turn older soon, and I'm not...

Went to a whiskey tasting party last night and really enjoyed it. Now I have to convince my son that we'll be watching the Super Bowl and not the Christmas Dinosaur.

I really like being able to take my son out with me where ever I go, even at the age of three. Today, we went to a new hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant up the street and he really had fun without annoying the other patrons--in fact he entertained almost everyone there. He enjoyed the food and ate almost everything on his plate. I ordered some guacamole;...

A friend of mine has a four yr old son who is wonderful. When he was deployed his wife left him, and I tell him that despite the pain look at the Angel that came out of their relationship. That child is so sweet and caring. I don't have any kids myself, but I think it is awesome that you are dedicated to your son, and I'm sure he will keep his sweet demeanor with such a great Dad!

I can't stop listening to Nick Drake, nor do I want to stop. Although he's fitting for most moods, with all of the stress with both work and my home life he has provided solace and enjoyment. He's great for the long subway commute as well.

Last night sucked (emotionally devastating). Today, I started to become more fiscally responsible by lowering my mortgage rate and meeting with my financial planner (she is extremely attractive) on where to reinvest. I feel a little better. Also, a good friend of mine announced that he and his wife are expecting. Nice.

Not sure what I'm going to do for New Year's Eve. Probably watch...

My son had a good holiday, although it was an emotional roller-coaster for me. We are still on track for separation--she wants it, I don't (nor do her parents, siblings, most friends). I'm still trying to see if she will go to couple's counseling, but looks like she won't since she's made up her mind even though we have over nine years of marriage under...
