I know I know. It has been forever. Part of the reason is because I had the shittiest week ever and then had the most awesome weekend ever. First, the week.
I'm not going to get into much here because it pisses me off to just think about it. But, basically I was ready to drop out of this hell hole and pursue something else, because by the end of the week I thought anything would be better than being in medical school. Do I feel better about it now? Not really, but I can hope that things will get better as the next couple weeks goes by.
So, this weekend was outstanding. Friday night I went to Rochester to see Three Days Grace and the Dropkick Murphys at RIT (for $10). It was so outstanding. I was in heaven. I think Three Days Grace is a new fave in my department after seeing them live. Then we came back to Syracuse and partied it up!
Saturday I drove to Binghamton in the morning and picked up my sis and we went skiing at Greek Peak all day. Following the day we drove home to Horseheads and I went and saw some old friends at Atlas in Corning. The only reason I went though was because the band playing ("The Half of It") is from Philly and I went to high school with their amazing keyboardist, Dan Paul. They are funk/jazz and almost all original! Amazing.
Sunday I slept until 1pm and then got up, ran to the hospital to see my mom (she was at work) and I had also had to have some bloodwork done. After that I drove back to Syracuse, got some shit done, and then went to see the Kronos Quartet at SU (for free!!!). They are probably my favorite string quartet because they are pretty out there. They play mostly contemporary compositions.
Anyways, now I'm doing my laundry and just trying to do some catch up on things. Hope all is well with all of you. Goodnight!
