I really like face book's new feature which shows you your 'memories' with posts and photos of exactly one year earlier.
This photo showed up on my feed so I thought I would share with you my journey of transformation. It's so easy to disregard how much progress and change we go through every year. I like having a constant reminder of how every day you lived created your present, and every moment will build your future.
So this is little me a year ago. I had just had my hair double bleached in preparation to dye it a crazy color for the first time - Pink (this is the first time my hair was bleached)
I had also just gotten my cheeks pierced 2 months earlier and the swelling had just subsided. For those of you who don't know cheek piercings cause permanent dimples <3 So helllllo sexy dimples.
At this stage in my life I was a few months into my tattoo apprenticeship, but I hadn't started tattooing at this stage.
I had a hectic few months, I had my heart broken, was screwed over by my housemate, someone I considered a friend, and focusing on my tattoo apprenticeship, meant I was carless and homeless at the time. I was travelling 2 hours each way to get to the tattoo studio every day. However I was determined and found the strength I never thought I had.
