I learned about these tricks in my journalism class about subscription reactivations. The idea is whoever is trying to get you to come back will keep sending you lower offers until finally it seems as if you feel they'd be losing money on the deal. I won't tell you how much money I spent reactivating my account, but it was substantially less then the regular yearly rate.

yup they are! i'm really upset about it since i worked there for over a year
