Death

It's the Joker in the deck of cards called life. The idea of dying crosses the minds of every single cognitive individual on Earth at least once a day. It is also one of the most trivial verbs; if trivial is the right word.

Young men and women, some as young as 17 learn how to die correctly in the USMC. Young men and women, some as young as 6 are learning how to die correctly in the Middle East.

Does death bother me? Yes. Not always, but sometimes. It bothers me because we don't know more, other then the lack of brain function and pulse accompanied by it. What is on the other side? The white light, the pearly gates, the fire and brimstone? I'm a practicing Jew, yet I know those books were written by Man. The anatomy of the human soul causes my head to burst. Where is it? Where does it go? Can I say where it goes? My last breath will be the scariest.

The evil part of death is time it comes. No one knows. The exception is being the hostage on a hijacked plane bound for the great beyond. The other evil part of death is the result of no one knowing. Newborns, children, cute domesticated animals all die too. One can hope by the time they die they are once again like newborns. Unknown to their surroundings, who they are, what they've accomplished. Kind of like Alzheimers. Some say the bullet doesn't hurt when you don't see it coming. [this isn't a suicide note]

When the time comes what can you do? Close your eyes? Hide under the covers? The bigger question is where we go. Do we go where we believe we go? We have to think that whatever happens, 99% of us go some place we don't mind being. I figure there are "mediums" on this planet and none of them have gone crazy from the possibly trillion lives that have been on this Earth since the beginning of our species yelling at them.

Death is also under-estimated. Used frequently in pop culture music, movies, comics... it's taken for granted. The powerfulness of death is under-estimated. Is this a problem? Some would say yes. Others no. Under-estimating death and in essense "numbing" the public of death can ease the pain of their imminent demise. Sometimes one must remember they're going to die. You, reading this. Yea you. You're going to die.
You're thinking, "Yea I know. But I don't try to worry about it."
Live for today? Live for the moment?
"Sure."
The more you think about death, the closer to death you become?
Questions...

Questions are the essense of humanity.
The fact that we have the ability to question
our surroundings, our ideas, our death makes
us invincible in the soul.
So what does this all mean?

Jack shit.

We can talk about death, sing about it, show hundreds of cases of it courtesy of Rambo in 90 minutes and just look past it... and we don't get anywhere.

To answer any questions that could be floating around in your head...
1. I'm not killing myself.
2. I just watched Sixth Sense.
3. Yea I really hate when movies make me think too sometimes.

Now that everyone is probably (I can't believe I'm saying this) hella depressed about dying, post dirty photos in the comments! Boobs make everything better.
