I've decided to start living a healthier lifestyle.
This is the precursor to a diet and exercise plan I am currently putting together. I was talking to some friends who are personal trainers and/or active in collegiate sports. They told me not to start dieting and exercising right away, because you're body is still in shit mode. You have to let your body know that you mean business. I was told that a healthier body will burn fat and maintain a better metabolism then one that just killed one of those big boxes of nerds and 2 pints of ben and jerry's.
The plan is actually pretty easy, and if done correctly you could lose 5lbs in ONE WEEK just by doing this. The plan is water. Drink as much water as possible. Absolutely no sugary drinks like soda or processed juices. You're suppose to have eight glasses of water every day, but I'm going to go for 12 bottles a day. Roughly a gallon of water a day. This is to clean out your system. Flush out all the bad stuff. Your body works faster and much better after even just a week of hydrodetox. It's a word I just made up. Hydro meaning water, and detox being what happens to you because of the water.
Another big aspect to this is sleep. Yea... the DVR is gonna fill up quickly. I will have to miss most and all of [adult swim]. For the week (starting tonight) asleep by 10PM will ensure me 9 hours of sleep. This will totally fill up the energy tanks. Creating a healthy sleeping pattern and adjusting your body to getting up at certain times, even during the weekends, will drastically reduce stress, tiredness, and help your body fight infections and prevent illnesses.
I'm also taking a vitamin. A Centrum chewable filled with 100% of mostly every single vitamin and mineral your body needs to be in the best condition possible. I used to take these when I had mono and even they make your body feel better. Having all the vitamin A, C, D, and minerals tunes your body up. It also makes your body almost immune to everything... if taken correctly and regularly ofcourse.
Next Sunday I'll tell you all about my dieting and exercising plan. Who knows, maybe it'll give you some ideas.
