My first SG meet. Got off to an unsure start when me, my friend and AlwaysBeingBlue couldn't find the others in Costers, but then we all kind of bumped into each other and headed off to the club.
We all kept on drifting off from each other in the club, but were running into each other and taking photos and stuff. I think the final count was myself, AlwaysBeingBlue(even though she left after a bit), Ameh, adthrawn,Tarrie and her fella, TheBoyWithNoName and a few others. Also saw JacksLostSanity in the club and talked to him for a bit on and off when we saw each other around.
ABB, we will have to meet up again and actually get the fivers worth for you, although I think I drank enough for the both of us really - and no puking either!!! Be proud of me !!! JLS, we'll definately have to meet up again soon. You are one cool guy
Apart from that, what did I do yesterday? I saw Garden State. That film made me cry a few times and then feel ridiculously happy when I left the cinema. I was on cloud nine for a good while afterwards, and listening to the soundtrack now, I'm going back there. I haven't been sincerely happy in a long time and it's nice to feel it. I love everything and believe that good things do happen to people and that no matter who you are and where you are and what you're doing, someone is always watching out for you and will be there for you whenever you need them.
I want to snuggle with someone, and just lie there or sit there listening to music, content in their company and happy. There was one point in the film where the characters are on top of a kind of canyon and they scream into it in the rain, and I just feel like I could do that and it would get rid of all my anger and sadness and frustration for that one moment, that one split second, I would know what pure happiness was.
I think a group screaming session is in order. On the count of three. One. Two. Three!

TBH I'm of a similar opinion that love is potentially the answer for everything (if only the darker side of human nature didn't keep rearing it's ugly head). Taking a leaf of karmic/daoist/fatalist book I think things genuinely do work out however they're supposed to, usually for the best, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time...
I've heard a lot of good things about Garden State will have to make time to catch it now...
