PHILLY TATTOO CONVENTION ROCKED!!
we got there right around when it began...almost couldn't find parking because idiots don't know how to park correctly in parking spots. I got all my linework done on two tattoos in september at the meadowlands convention by Porno Jim from Denver, CO. So i saw that he would be back at this convention so I went searching.
Couldn't find his stand on either floor, but we did see his banner on a table where other guys were setting up. after a few hours, we called his tattoo shop (the number was in the program) and we were told he would call me back, and he did - turns out he was in the bar area eating, so I found him and he said he would do the color on one of my tattoos. They had an issue with someone stealing their booth and once that got all sorted out, he called me and we started on our session.
The tattoo took about 6 hours. I was laying on one of the booth tables because he didn't have one of the nice cushy tattoo tables, which was better than having to sit in a chair like last time. First of all, Porno Jim is awesome and his book does him no justice. He did beautiful work and I got billions of compliments and even entered in to the Tattoo of the Day contest. I didn't win anything but I believe I was a contender!
I was doing pretty well with the pain factor until the last third of the tattoo. My body just couldn't handle it anymore and it was pretty hardcore. sooo happy that's over, and i'm thrilled with the result. I'm a bit sore though...walking like an old lady, but I can't wait until it's healed! Porno Jim bought us shots at the end of it all. he's so nice!!
I also got to meet some awesome suicide girls!!!
I met Karma, Suri, Meow, Apple, and Leandra! And she took a picture of my tattoo in progress!
They were all incredibly sweet and friendly. I'm so glad to have met them!
