regret #179842984
a few years ago when i was feeling particularly brave, i took a couple of UT informal classes (in addition to my regular coursework).
it was all MWF knitting, TTH boxing.
yah ... boxing. i encourage everyone to take this class - if you are good at following through with something. i have no doubt i would have walked out on that last day with rock hard abs and an eat sh*t attitude (that pretty much anyone could have knocked right out of me if they tried).
anyway, the regret in question is this:
i really wish i had been brave enough to hit on one of the instructors. his name was Ilya. a friggin russian boxer.
i must break you
but in addition to that, i heard from someone that he was also a ballet dancer or some sh*t. wtf??? how wicked cool is that?
he was really nice - the first one to rush over and help me with my hand wraps. i think if that class wasn't so damn humiliating, i would've maybe tried to "get in his corner". ha.
but alas ... i couldn't box my way out of a wet paper bag.
really, it was a great class. there was this cool instructor named Jennifer there, too. she had these great dreadlocks and she helped me out a lot. gave me one of those, "i bet everyone tells you you look like Lucy Liu, don't they?"
yah. no. i look nothing like Lucy Liu. (in the 90's, it was always Tia Carrere.)
anyway, if you are reading this Ilya ... holla.
stay tuned for more regrets! jk.
