Tonight I went out wearing what I knew to be moderately inappropriate shoes, hence found myself walking most of the way home bare-foot. Tres elegant.
I've been riding a little bit of a confidence high for the past week or two, which I suspect may be about to come crashing down around my ears.
I've been going out and thinking that I look pretty ok. Well in fact, thinking that I might actually look pretty good, which is very unusual for me. But tonight I got home and felt that I looked pretty crappy. Perhaps it was the shoes' fault. But I find it strange that I can go from feeling almost gorgeous to feeling ugly-frumpy so swiftly. I don't think I actually look any different to the way I did last Thursday, but I just can't get my brain to believe that.
Does anyone else have this swingingly unstable perception of the way that they look?
