In two days I am leaving for the Southwest to see my parents for the first time in a year. I have mixed feelings about the trip. I will be happy to see them, but not so happy to be witnessing their very awkward and strained dynamic. On the other hand, I will get to go to the ocean. I have not seen the ocean in a couple years and I am looking forward to the peaceful and tranquil effect it has on me. I need time to think and be away I guess, I just am not sure I want to be doing it with my parents. /sigh
