i saw something on the news this morning that i feel very strongly about, which is antidepressants and specifically their effects on teenagers. i hope that this new law passes, which will require the manufacturers of these drugs to put warning labels on them, stating they can increase the risks of suicidial thoughts and behavior. i think it's ridiculous the way doctors prescribe them to people without exploring other options. i am not necessarily against them, but i think a lot of times they do more harm than good. i'm not only speaking from personal experience, but also on behalf of a family member of mine who committed suicide while taking zoloft. he was only 13, which i think is just way too young to take these types of drugs anyway. it really makes me very sad, obviously. and it's unfortunate that with all the lawsuits against these drugs companies over the past 10 years, specifically pfizer, it's taken this long to get this accomplished.
