Hospitals suck! I have a central line for the IV meds I have to take every day. The other day it blew a hole in itself. Thrill. So yesterday the doctor that installed it repaired it by cutting off the end and gluing on a new end. He then tried flushing the line to test the repair. Thing is you\'re supposed to wait at least 4 hrs before infusing meds. The first thing you do when you infuse is flush the line. Anyway, I went home and waited 6 hours so the glue was good and dry before infusing. The damn thing leaked at the repair sight. So, I went up to the ER and they told me that the ER doctors wouldn\'t be able to do anything about the problem. Only one doctor in the area handles central lines, but he wasn\'t available for 2 hours. It was 5:00 in the afternoon at this point. At 7:10, the doctor that had made the repair that morning was contacted. About ten minutes later the ER doctor who had seen me two hours earlier came in and told me that I was going to be admitted so that the doctor who made the shoddy repair (no names) could replace my central line. So I got up to my room shortly before 8:00 and found out that the procedure would be done at 8:30. I watched Jericho while I waited. Before the procedure, the doctor said that he may have caused the leak. After the procedure (about 2 hours later) I found out I\'d be staying at the hospital for the night instead of going home right away as originally planned. The timing was sort of lucky because I had an appointment today. I got home about an hour ago. The point of this whole thing is that I had to be bagged a couple times and, fuck, people bag slow!
