So, I really don't have a lot of news, but I've still managed to be doing a lot of stuff. In brief, I got got a sort-of promotion at Fox, which is more stuff to do (e.g., if you are on twitter, check out @championsonfox) and I write my balls off every day, but it is good to have work. In fact, I was complaining about this half-heartedly this morning, and my pal, David reminded me that it was better to be working, and then we started talking about Marvel Comics. (Note to Bill: He didn't spill, if you're reading this.)
Umm, what else? Well, it was fall, so I tuckpointed my two-flat, in a kind of half-assed fashion. I dunno what it is, but you always get the hang of something contracty just as you are finishing it up, and then about four hours later, after a couple brews, you go "Damnit, THAT'S what I shoulda done." Or, at least, I do that.
Then I covered a bunch of USA soccer games (which you can relive on the Fox website, should you care to), then all the Champions league games, and now the MLS playoffs. And, I've got three books on my desk I'm supposed to be writing, and just don't seem to have the time to. Oh, and I painted my Mum's barn for her. It's yellow, which I'm told is a crummy colour for a country barn in new england, but she doesn't care.
Still hanging out with the usual group of miscreants:

and getting ready for cold Chicago winter. Will be heading West to Seattle to see Trev and then to SF to see Daffy and then to the MLS Cup and then back East to see my aging 'rents and probably have to fix something else. They seem to save it all up for me when I get home, and I wouldn't be surprised if I was greeted with a plumber's wrench at the airport one of these days.
My cat, Marcel, has his own Facebook page now too, so he takes up a lot of time on the computer, too.
Will go to see Salome's play next week too, cause it's down the street from mi casa.
Call me if you wanna get a beer.
