So, about a month ago, I was asked to put my work in a gallery space. The space has been donated to me for six months by the developers of a cool, modern condo tower. They are progressive and civic-minded and wanted to have an artist around to add some colour to the place.
I've been painting the gallery, and fixing the lighting, and making art for the walls. Happily, the paintings are selling about as fast as I make them, so it may be January before I have enough for a show and opening.
Actually, January marks 5 years since I opened my painting studio. It will be a perfect time for a party.

I've been meaning to write a note about these two:
My cats, who I found three summers ago in the cardboard dumpster behind my studio , were named Siren and Circle. Siren, who alerted me to his presence in the bin, was loud, and his brother was crazy and ran in circles.
They both passed away, one this summer and the other this fall. I was sad about them going, but happy that my friends and I had a little time with them.
