Just a quick update: still in North Charleston SC and all we have gotten is some wind and maybe a lil rain. Waiting to see how bad it gets. Hope everyone is doing well.

@lillyth thank you for your response. And yes, everyone's replies while somewhat different are also similar in certain points. A couple of you mentioned being desensitized to things which I guess you all take as a good thing being able to just brush stuff of which is okay but to me it also says to me that ya'll have had to put up with enough to make you desensitized. I'd rather not attribute to that. But learning the differences between people is important too.
