A lot of people think that rise is my debut set except for people who have been members for many years and followed me throughout this journey.
First I started out as Jamberee420
I wanted my name to be like a stoner party or something.
Then later when it seems like it's inevitable that this whole suicidegirl thing would end up biting me in the ass I figured it's probably not the best to attach drug use to my online nudity. So I tried to drop the number and just be jamberee but I couldn't so I added the _ to it.
When I was at summer camp in 2005 this pretty little dready lady and I kept making out cuz I was also a pretty little dready lady.
We worked with horses together and she told me that I should be a suicidegirl. She explained the concept to me and something clicked and I was like challenge accepted.
At that time I had dreams of becoming heavily tattooed so I wanted to wait. Then one day in 2009 I cut off my dreads and I was like oh man I don't have dreads or tattoos and I'll never be a suicidegirl now.
But then I began my tattoo journey and put out my first set
Lacksidazically
Then next was "from Ooskar with love." My friends wrote an album about me while I was away at camp one summer and one of the songs was about how my cat Ooskar cried a lot and got fat while I was gone so I got that album cover tattooed on me.
After that came soapy girl. That was my best set statistically.
Those 3 were shot by Al Zayed. He's a photographer in Chicago.
Then I shot two sets in Colorado. Te first one in summer 2011 and the next in summer 2012 while I was working on a dude ranch. The guy who shot the sets is the ranch manager and staff photographer.
The next set was called bonanza jellybean. I named it that because of a character in the Tom Robbins book even cowgirls get the blues. I identified a lot with that character at that time. We hiked to 9,200 feet for this shoot. Those mountains you see are the Indian peaks wilderness
Then we did another set. For some reason I can't remember what it's called right now.
Then I deleted all my sets and gave up. Years later I decided to give it one last try so I shot rise with Charles Hildreth in Denver in the spring.
So that's not my debut set. And when you guys ask me when I'm going to shoot another one I'm like Jesus people just help this one go pink and it won't be so hard and expensive for me to get good photographers to want to work with me.
The end.
