When I worked at the Lumber mill (just left there 6 months ago) there were a lot of strong guys there. Strength there was a requirement. ''Must be able to lift 50lbs.'' Lol. That's funny because the only things under 50lbs were the P.P.E. and the pens to sign paperwork. Oh of course the paperwork too.
Anyway this blog is about a co-worker. Great guy with ripped muscles. Always laughing and kidding around. Sensitive too. But I was jealous of his muscles. That was until they were needed. He went to try and push a cart of lumber so the forklift guy could pick up the lumber. He couldn't do it and walked away to do something else. I went over and pushed the cart out. It wasn't easy. But it kinda surprised me because this ripped guy couldn't do it and I could.
Working the lumber mill was the hardest job I've ever worked at. If they offered to my current wage, I wouldn't have left. Even a little less and I would have accepted it. It kept me fit and toned. Even girls gave me a 2nd glance. However the wear and tear on my body for such a low wage wasn't worth girls giving me the double look.
