I have a flawless attendance record at work. I'm the only one in my department that can say that. This is out of about 40 people total and does include maintenance and the white collar (A.K.A. white coats, A.K.A. supervisors). This is over the period of 6 months I've been with the company. Everyone else has either called off, came in late, or left early.
In fact not many people can say this. Statistically speaking about I should have called in 4 days so far. I haven't found a good enough reason to call in yet. I've actually been looking for a good enough reason to do so. Like for friends and family but nothing's needed my attention badly enough to call in. I'd love to call in. I do get paid for it if I call in. Up to 4 days a year per company policy. Maybe I'll do it over the summer. According to the company, we're not allowed to take off more then 5 days off per a month over the summer. This includes vacation. Must be an attendance issue. lol.
I would like to achieve something 99% of the population hasn't achieved by having a flawless record for the entire year but at this company, there's no reward for it. So chances are I will have a flawed record by the end of the year. The company must not care enough about attendance to have a reward for it. Neither do I.
Companies say there's a problem with attendance but do nothing to fix the problem. When you don't fix the problem, it'll keep happening or get worse.
