After 8 months of sever fighting and kicking and punching. My boyfriend's mother, Carol... Won her battle with cancer... Unfortunately she had to cast her body aside. She Passed yesterday morning at about 3:30-4 am.
At least now she is finallly able to enjoy her summer and is probably on some boat in the great beyond. While the cancer was left in her body to be cremated.
Carol was an amazing woman and I feel blessed to know she loved me and having loved her. I thanked her for giving me the gift of her son and told her I loved her and would see her again someday.
Please send out healing thoughts for her children whom she left behind, Brian and his older Sister Leigh. But mostly for her husband of 36 years, He is an amazing man, but if you ever saw the two of them together you'd understand why we are so concerned. Most people will live a whole lifetime and never experience the love that these two shared. Even in her hospital bed, with the disease taking it's toll, he'd blow her kisses and flirt with his "sexy mama" . They are an inspiration of what marriage and partnership is and should be.
I am thankful for knowing her, and having been able to spend 2 and a half years with her in my life. I am sad that she will not be at our wedding... (well in the physical realm...) and that she will not be here for Brian and I to hug and share the many experiences life will throw at us. But all we need to do is call and I know she can hear us. Like the angel I tattooed on her shoulder... I know she will be a guardian angel to her family.
