Hey guys. It's been a while since I did a blog on here. The last 2 days can only be described as amazing (or awesome like in the blog title but we'll forget about that :P) Today was my birthday and like all people should, I've celebrated it for the last 2 days.
Firstly, the band and I played a gig yesterday at our local pub and had some close friends join in. It was a great night and for the first time in about 9 years of performing live, we had a proper mosh pit! Now I realise this probably makes my band sound a bit shit and you might be right. Who am I to judge my own music? After all the consumer is the one that ultimately decides if you are any good or not! For those of you that may be interested, the name of my band is Heavy Duck. Secondly, I have been spoiled rotten by my Fiancee for my birthday bless her. She bought me the most wonderful presents and took me for the best meal I've had in ages and it must be said, the best steak I have ever tasted in my life!
I had to feel sorry for her at one point though. She bought me an electro-acoustic guitar because she knew I was after one at the moment and I opened it and it wasn't quite what I was after. Having to ask her if she could send it back was such an awful thing to have to ask and I felt so awful because I could see how much effort she had put into finding it, never mind the amount of energy and frustration it must have taken to wrap it. I was genuinely gutted for her. :(
It's all been sorted now though. I found a suitable replacement ;) haha.
Now, time to sleep before I'm back to reality and work in the morning :/
