Bike week was kinda whack this year, and I don't know exactly what it was...
The first weekend was pretty fuckin cool, rode a lot, and the crowds were okay. Weather was awesome..but then the following weekend was another story.
We had about 7 guys down from NY like every year. But unlike every year, we had some misfortune. One custom harley knocked over at a gas station: Tank fucked, peg snapped of, mirror gone. One of our guys went down on a 954RR on a very easy turn (gravel). Good thing for frame sliders, he came up with a banged up hip, ground down case, and a fucked blinker.
But the scariness was a blownout tire on the interstate that sent a car careening out of control BETWEEN two of our guys before striking the baricade...
18 deaths this year, and too many shitty things to happen in a single week kinda soured the mood. But Ducati Day was pretty good.
Updates: House is coming along nicely, I need to put some pics up... Granite is in finally!! and paint and trim is almost done. Can't wait to finish all that shit and get my floors down and be DONE.
On the job front, I'm beginning my real estate licensing classes this month, and I'll be a part time agent starting in May. It will take a few months to get on my feet and get steady income--but I'll have an excellent mentor, and some charity listings thrown my way to get started (I hope). Besides, I have my income from my current business hopefully for a few more months to ease the transition.

What kiind of floors are you putting down? I'm thinking about linoleum (the real thing, not vinyl) for my kitchen & laundry room, but it's expensive.
