I read them all out of order, but if I were to do it over I'd read them in the order he wrote them.
There is a couple characters that are in nearly all the books (one big one that was in Skinny Dip that Hiaasen didn't even name so there will be a big "Ah ha" for you when you read the rest) so it's kinda cool to see the progression, but it's not nesscary. Skin Tight was the first book Mick Stranahan was in, that's a great one. There isn't a bad one in the bunch.
