The Black Cougar of Del Valle
back when i was a kid in 1991, i lived on bergstrom afb in del valle, tx which is near austin. one day my dad and i went to the dump behind the base to get rid of some bed frames. we decided to go the very back of the dump site where it was heavily wooded. we parked the van, got out, and dragged the heavy frames through the woods. then my dad suddenly stopped and told me not to move. he stood there wide eyed looking beyond me. he then told me to slowly turn my head toward this big tree. initially i didnt see anything. then i saw something i could not believe. it sat there on a branch, spanning at least 8 ft long. it was pitch black with green eyes. a giant black cat.

we could not believe what we what we saw. and we cautiously left the dump site. my dad and i have talked about it for years. yesterday, i met a girl at a coffee shop. she told me she was studying zoology at UT. she's writing this paper on the black cougars of texas. she confirmed that what my dad and i saw was not an illusion or spiritual manifestation. it was Jaguarundis.
thank you! good night !
