This was my vent in the "Dating Sucks" group;
I met this girl Rachel the other night at first Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum. I was meeting friends. I saw her tasting wine so I offered to buy her a glass. I hung out with her a bit as we drank our wine, talked and listened to some live music. I thought she was beautiful. Eventually I left her for the evening and joined my friends, I thought she was pretty cool, it was nice to hang with her.
Rachel and I had dinner tonight, I paid. My paying for dinner as the man is extremely old fashioned and a turn off. I think if a man should pay, both the man and the woman are belittling the woman as less than an adult. I think it's a polite gesture for the guy to offer to pay or better yet for the woman to offer to pay the tip or offer some cash or just pay for her portion of the fucking dinner. After all a date is a try out for a possible partnership, not a Mr. Money Bags interview.
Anyway, I had a pretty busy weekend. An old friend was in town (the reason I was at the museum) I had another date on Friday (Lachelle paid nearly half the dinner then bought me shots later, I left the tip) as well I had brunch this afternoon before meeting up with Rachel. So basically after dinner tonight I was broke! During dinner we held hands while we talked, she fed me twice (sometimes this is weird for me when I don't know a person but she was pretty suave). After dinner we had to take the same train together and I wanted to kiss her on the lips while we waited on the platform. Granted I was being a little timid, I hadn't received any cues; I was going in blind. I placed my hands on her hips and she backed off and said I was making her nervous, so I kissed her cheek and gave her plenty of space. She then asked "how was that for you?" WTF? I answered with a question, "how was it for you?" Rachel replied, "Neutral".
I don't know if she was turned off by my lack of funds (after buying her fucking dinner) or what. She also claimed to have cramps from the mash potatoes she thought was vegan. This sort of date confuse the fuck out of me and often makes me wonder if the woman I've gone out with is actually, really single or just uncertain about how she feels about the date and me. I'm just annoyed she suggested dinner but I got stuck with the fucking bill!!!
Okay done ...

This girl seems kind of high maintenance.
Sounds like a lovely night to me. *shrugs*
